Klaviyo | Email Series
To add CashBack to a welcome flow, there are two general updates to make:
- Update language within emails to reflect CashBack
- Anywhere discounting language is used, it must be updated to CashBack language:
- Get 10% Off —> Get 20% Back
- Get 10% Off with code 10OFF at checkout —> Get 20% Back. Click to auto-apply at checkout.
- Shop with 10% Off —> Shop with 20% Back
- Anywhere discounting language is used, it must be updated to CashBack language:
IMPORTANT: If language is text-based within the email editor, you can simply make the changes and save them. If any emails/discount language are image-based, you will either need to make these image updates on your end or request the brand makes them.*
*To reduce friction/time to live, it's recommended to make these updates on your end in Figma.
- Update all links within emails to have CashBack UTM
- Anywhere a link is present within the email, it must have the CashBack UTM appended to the end
- Yes, ALL links—logo headers, images, products, FAQ/Contact Us/Review pages
- The CashBack UTM can be appended to any link that routes to the shopper's site
- Homepage: revolve.nyc/?cashback=welcome20
- Bestsellers page: revolve.nyc/pages/best-sellers/?cashback=welcome20
- Specific product page: revolve.nyc/products/knit-tide-crewneck/
- Anywhere a link is present within the email, it must have the CashBack UTM appended to the end
IMPORTANT: CashBack is only added to a shopper's cart if the CashBack UTM is appended to the URL. By linking CashBack in every single spot possible within an email, we're ensuring shoppers receive CashBack with the least resistance possible.
Additionally, it's a great opportunity for us to outperform a brand's traditional discount during an A/B test. Oftentimes, brands will only include the link to auto-apply a discount to the shopper's cart once or twice within an email. Sometimes, they won't include a link to auto-apply it at all and will provide a call to action within the email text (Ex: Get 10% off with code 10OFF at checkout)
This can lead to more CashBacks during an A/B testing period.
